Privacy Policy
Version 2026-07-08.2 · Effective 2026-07-08
This Privacy Policy explains how Loggerflex Smart Devices Ltd. ("Heater Sales", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Heater Sales platform (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — email address, password (stored only as a hash), language, timezone, unit preference, and, if you provide it, a phone number for alarm delivery.
- Device and telemetry data — device identifiers, sensor readings (such as temperature and operating state), configuration, alarm and event history, and connectivity/diagnostic data from your heaters and sensors.
- Location data — the location or address you associate with a work site or device, used to organize and display your fleet.
- Notification and communication data — your alarm-channel choices, notification records, and push-subscription endpoints.
- Usage, session, and technical data — session identifiers, IP address, browser/device information, and logs generated when you use the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service;
- authenticate you and protect accounts (including multi-factor authentication and fraud/abuse prevention);
- deliver alarms, notifications, and reports through the channels you select;
- process payments and manage credit balances where applicable;
- communicate with you about the Service, including service and security notices;
- troubleshoot, analyze, and improve the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Cookies and Sessions
We use a strictly-necessary, signed session cookie to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We also store limited preferences (such as your chosen language and theme) to operate the interface. We do not use the session cookie for third-party advertising. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling the session cookie will prevent you from signing in.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Partners — if you access the Service through a partner's branded portal, the relevant partner administrators may access account and device data necessary to support you.
- Shared access — device or site data may be shared with other users you (or a partner) authorize, according to their assigned role.
- Service providers — vendors that process data on our behalf under contract, such as messaging (SMS/voice), payment, cloud hosting, and cellular-connectivity providers, limited to what they need to perform their services.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Heater Sales, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Telemetry and event data may be retained in aggregated or historical form for reporting. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, tenant isolation, access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Transfers
We are based in Canada and may process and store information in Canada and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update many details in your profile or by contacting us. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
